High point awards
Leaderboard based awards presented to the rider or coach who meets the award criteria, has registered (where necessary) and accumulated the highest total points in one of the categories.
Divisional awards
Divisional awards are determined by adding each horse and rider pair’s eight best scores from the season.
Member nominated awards
Riders, horses, coaches and volunteers are nominated by their fellow OEA members for these awards.
Discretionary Awards
Presented at the discretion of the OEA President or Board of Directors and are not necessarily presented every year.
Breed specific awards
We’ve partnered with several breed associations to celebrate registered horses who achieve the highest number of points during the eventing season.
Thoroughbred incentive program
The Jockey Club's Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P.) was created to encourage the retraining of thoroughbreds and offering incentives to pursue excellence in a second career.
Zara Buren Memorial Foundation Award
The Zara Buren Memorial Award was created to inspire riders of all ages across the province, setting the bar for excellence, sportsmanship and horsemanship.
Zara's Legacy of Excellence
Zara's Legacy of Excellence is a 2024 pilot project recognizing and celebrating Ontario's most successful Junior eventers.
Officials bursary
The Officials Bursary is available to support officials in maintaining or upgrading their status, and supporting ongoing education.
