Annual Awards

Leaderboard based awards presented to the rider or coach who meets the award criteria, has registered (where necessary) and accumulated the highest total points in one of the categories.

Divisional awards are determined by adding each horse and rider pair’s eight best scores from the season.

Riders, horses, coaches and volunteers are nominated by their fellow OEA members for these awards.

Presented at the discretion of the OEA President and not necessarily presented every year.

We’ve partnered with several breed associations to celebrate registered horses who achieve the highest number of points during the eventing season.

The Jockey Club's Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P.) was created to encourage the retraining of thoroughbreds and offering incentives to pursue excellence in a second career.

Zara's Legacy of Excellence recognizes and celebrates Ontario's most successful Junior eventers.

The Officials Bursary is available to support officials in maintaining or upgrading their status, and supporting ongoing education.

The Bradely Mark Johnston Pursuit of Excellence Bursary is offered to help young professionals bridge the gap between talent and opportunity.

The Bradley Mark Johnston Working Student Bursary recognizes and rewards the vital contributions of working students to our sport.

The Bradley Mark Johnston ‘On Your Mark’ Award highlights the importance of precision, strategy, and education in successful Eventing, specifically in terms of achieving the optimum time in the XC phase of Eventing.
