Rider Development Days

OEA’s Rider Development Days are open to riders from other disciplines seeking to try out Eventing, along with OEA members competing at the lower levels (EV60-EV90) and members who are in a new equine partnership or developing a horse that is new to Eventing.

Riders are responsible for their own safety and the safety of their horse while attending a Rider Development Day.

Discover eventing with rider development days!

Whether you're new to eventing or looking to build confidence at the EV60–EV90 levels, OEA Rider Development
Days offer a fun, supportive way to grow your skills. Ride at top EC-sanctioned venues, work with professional,
licensed Eventing Coaches and develop your skills in a non-competitive, welcoming environment.

Designed to safely introduce new riders to Eventing and help lower-level OEA members build skills and confidence in a noncompetitive setting.

Held at EC-sanctioned venues with licensed coaches, the program welcomes riders from other disciplines, eventers with green horses or those working on new equine partnerships!

By subsidizing the clinic costs, the OEA is creating opportunities to experience eventing and the venues of our Ontario Horse Trial organizers.

All OEA development days will offer cross country schooling “in season”.

Cost of entries is $65 per horse/rider combination

Your Ontario Eventing Association is working to create opportunities for you to become familiar with our sanctioned venues, improve your Eventing skills and build confidence!

This is a great way to meet riders from the Ontario Eventing community!

Rider development days will be a one-day cross-country clinic.

All participants must have a current Ontario Equestrian (OE) membership, appropriate footwear and approved helmet. An approved body protector is required. If you don’t have an approved body protector reach out to us and we will try to help you.

Upcoming rider development days
