Join Kendall Lehari at 6-9pm on August 22nd for a workshop for riders and parents who want to do a FEI show. This workshop will include demos and information on how riders can prepare their horses and documentation needed to ride at the FEI level. Kendal is just back from the NAYC, where she was the team coach for our Ontario riders, she has a wealth of insight and information to share with our members whose goal is to ride in a FEI competition.
This workshop will cover:
FEI Passport application process and requirements [microchip, flu shots, types of passports and how to use them]
Coggins/health paper requirements
How to build a relationship with your vet and farrier to support your FEI goals [shoeing schedule, basic check ups, and timelines for medications and injections.
How to navigate Jogs and In Barn inspections [the dos and don’ts]
What to do in the cool out, vet box
Essentials for vet kits, stud kits, icing techniques
How to talk to TDs [don’t fear the officials]
FEI conditioning, qualifications and how to navigate the FEI Portal
This clinic is open to all OEA members and parents. A light meal will be served, and we recommend that you bring your own chair.
OEA member cost $30
Parent cost is $10 [must be the parent of an OEA member attending this clinic]
