The OEA, in partnership with the Bradley Mark Johnston Educational Foundation, is thrilled to congratulate the recipients of the Bradley Mark Johnston Educational Foundation Bursaries for 2026:

·      Bradley Mark Johnston Pursuit of Excellence Bursary: Sarah Roney (Lansdowne, Ontario)

·      Bradley Mark Johntson Working Student Bursary: Olivia Foy (King, Ontario)

Sarah will receive $4,000 to support her ongoing effort to expand her own Eventing journey through education and professional development – including pursuing her Equestrian Canada Competition Development (High Performance 1) coaching certification – which promises to extend the reach of this Bursary to the many young Eventers that she encourages in the sport as a coach and mentor.

Olivia will receive $1,000 to support her continued development as an equestrian through education and professional development. Her goals include gaining further experience working with young horses and continuing to learn both in and out of the saddle by investing in her riding and horsemanship skills through clinics and lessons. She also hopes to explore opportunities to pursue post-secondary education and realize her dream of becoming a large-animal veterinarian one day.

The OEA and the Johnston family extend their sincere thanks to everyone who applied for a Bradley Mark Johnston Educational Foundation Bursary in 2026 and look forward to following the recipients’ journeys to achieve their goals in 2027 and beyond.
