All OEA members are invited to join us for a webinar with Nardine Oakes, an experienced Strength and Conditioning Coach and fellow Eventer. This webinar covers the importance of off horse training & its benefit, from youth training to busy adult amateurs and professionals, and from injury prevention/rehab of injuries to post partum training.
We will discuss:
● General Benefits of off horse training, strength, balance, body awareness, fitness - Eventing is the Triathlon of equestrian sport
● Long Term Athlete Development and its importance
● How to fit workouts in the busy schedule of the AA and professional
● Injury Prevention and the importance of proper rehab from injuries
● Post Partum Training - I am passionate about supporting mums
The goal of this webinar is to have a better understanding of the importance of strength and conditioning training for equestrians and how it can improve and support your riding.

Biographical notes. Nardine Oakes is a Strength and Conditioning Coach and the owner of The Strong Rider. With over 20 years of experience, she has worked with athletes ranging from nationally ranked youth to Olympians and professional sports teams.Five years ago, she combined her two passions—horses and training—to create The Strong Rider, with a mission to help equestrians feel stronger, more confident, and more empowered in the saddle. A strong advocate for horse welfare, Nardine lives by the motto #BeABetterTeammate. She believes riders owe it to their horses to be the best partners possible by becoming more balanced, capable, and resilient athletes. She designs online workout programs as well as runs clinics and rider biomechanics assessments.
